Welcome to Codicote Cricket Club's Web Site.

We play Cricket in the heart of Hertfordshire in England. Our fixtures are a mixture of friendly and league, against local village and town clubs, who, like us, enjoy playing the game played in the right spirit. The club was reformed in 1983.

The club's fixtures are from the end of April to the end of September ( please see the fixture list). The wicket was finalised and the Pavilion was completed in 1984 and remarkably our first Home fixture in June of that year had to be abandoned ; "snow stopped play". The Clubs already considerable changing and shower facilities are undergoing expansion at present and it is hoped that we will be able to further develop the Club house bar and indoor dance & recreational area in the near future.

The club has now five ECB Level 1 coaches and one ECB Level 2 coach. A principle aim of the club is to promote the sport within the village and surrounding area and to develop our youth team with the aim of taking players successfully through to senior cricket.

The club joined the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League in 2007 and has gained promotion for the last 4 years with the aim to gain promotion for the next few to come.

The club is always striving to make the environment in which we play our cricket safe and fun for all. Therefore we have encompassed all the necessary regulations within the club's constitution and welfare for young cricketers policies, which is especially important when working with young colt sides.

Over the last couple of years the club has raised money to fund the purchase of equipment to benefit the youth and senior members. At the end of the season 2004 we raised enough money through fundraising etc which enabled us to purchase a sit down roller this made the playing surfaces even safer, in 2008 we purchased an additional sight screen to compliment the one we brought in 2003.

2009 the roller cage was delivered which helped with the training for all members and in September 2009 saw our biggest achievement of all with the re-laying of the cricket square.

This has proved to be a remarkable achievement with the ECB and National magazines reporting storeys of just how good our club really is.

All funding is raised by the club members, VP's, players and our much needed sponsors including our Parish Council in which we are very grateful.
